Lawson’s initials, and was printed and presented to Albert Cameron Burrage (a famous philanthropist and industrialist) in 1902. This is documented on the tipped-in presentation page, which is decorated in gold gilt. The book details the history of the first 50 years of the America's Cup Regatta, which dates back to 1851. The cover features gilded decoration, and has some light wear and minor soiling to the cloth. The top page edges are cut and gilded; the other sides are uncut. The book measures 1 foot tall by 8 inches wide by 3 inches deep.
